Brooklyn Tails & Trails – Behavior Training and Puppy Training Offerings
We believe that by developing simple, yet effective, training programs that are centered on shaping behavior we can improve the relationship between dogs and the humans who love them. From families with young puppies who want to provide their puppy with a solid foundation to people with a newly rescued dog who needs special support to accommodate their unique behavioral needs, we work with you to teach you how to best support the needs of your furry family member. BEHAVIOR TRAINING
At Brooklyn Tails & Trails, we specialize in addressing all types of dog behavior, training, psychological and emotional issues. Our approach to improving dog behavior is always done via fear-free, positive reinforcement dog training utilizing both operant and classical conditioning. We love all dogs and this is the most humane, effective, and compassionate way to care for, teach, and condition all beings.
During the first consultation, we will discuss your dog’s behavioral and life history and a customized training program will be created for you and your dog. Private training can be scheduled during the week or on weekends. The consultations and private lessons take place in and around your home unless otherwise specified by you or your trainer.

RATES
The initial behavior consultation is $150 and lasts 90 minutes. Training begins during this time. From the consultation we can move into a training package. Three lessons are $450, five lessons are $750 and ten lessons are $1500. Each lesson is 60 minutes.
If you are a current dog walking client with us where you book us for three regular walks a week, we will offer you a 5% “BKTT friends and family” discount.
We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. We do not offer refunds for lessons that are not used or forfeited. Lessons are not transferable to dog walks. Lessons must be used within 6 months.
Puppy Training for Dog Owners in Brooklyn, NY
There are many things to think about when bringing home a puppy for the first time. The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) says that early socialization is essential to a happy and well-adjusted puppy. We have been puppy training near you for decades and are here to guide you through every step of the training process.
The age of 3 weeks – 13 weeks is a sensitive/ critical learning period. Research shows that behaviors learned during this time frame have a tendency to stick throughout the puppy’s life more than at any other age. It is therefore critical to put your pup on the path to success and to train, educate, and socialize a puppy within this highly influential time frame.

RATES
For Puppy Training, the initial behavior or puppy consultation is $150 and lasts 60 minutes. After our consultation we move into a training package. Three lessons are $450, five lessons are $750, and ten lessons are $1500. Each lesson is 60 minutes.
Phone consultations or virtual training is available for general puppy questions, house breaking and crate training advice during the week. The cost is $60 per 30 minutes and $120 per 60 minutes.
